Been coming here for 4 years, it's a decent gym just wish they can fix that sauna it's been been under repair for months the owner might be to cheap to fix it seems like... some equipment is outdated.. they charge $10 for a member card replacement if you lose it which is pretty outrageous to me personally...

They would not give any membership details over the phone and insisted that I come to the gym in person. I’m not inclined to waste 20 minutes of my time coming there to have someone try selling me something in person. I’m not sure who came up with this predatory marketing tactic - but one thing I know for sure - I’m not coming to the gym after this conversation.
If they’re making it this difficult to find out any information right off the bat, I’m not even interested in checking if those other one star reviews about the gym being dirty and the contracts being ambiguous are true.

It is sad and very unprofessional knowing when a business isn't teaching their employees how to handle and manage a situation specially when a minor is involved. Yesterday my niece went to complain/ cancel a membership that she did not do with her bank card. She was treated poorly to the point that one of their staff was threatening her. This isn't right nor ok in all different levels

Not that bad so far. Pretty okay gym, doesn't really ever get *too* crowded, but if you're not a fan of waiting for machines, I'd stick to early morning routines for an emptier crowd. Though the dumbbell rack is always full, the dumbbells themselves don't seem to be in the right place lmao. They DO provide paper towels and spray bottles, though I'd prefer there to be more of these around the gym so I don't have to walk across the room and back just to clean my weights.

The ONLY gym I can think of that stayed open during most of the Covid BS.... just on that alone gets my double thumbs up. Plenty of equipment to choose from. Plenty of steel plate weights. Very few times when I had to wait for a station because it was in use. Have yet to see a station not in working order. They have water-massage tables for after your workout. Easy to find.... plenty of parking. Management there is doing a very good job overall .... and cost was less than what other gyms charge.

They bind you into a year contract. I attempted to help my limit English speaking partner cancel her membership and was told that "she understood stood the terms and conditions of the contract".
Well firstly, no one can ever tell someone else what they do and don't understand.
And secondly, if you don't speak or write English, you aren't able to understand a contract a merchant is trying to sell you.
Luckily laws are on the side of the consumer in these instances and we will be contacting the Better Business Bureau and attorney general to prevent this sort of shoddy

Don't sign up at this gym. I haven't gone here and years because I no longer live in San Jose, and its impossible to close the account. Their website doesn't work, I cant get a hold of anyone, I've tried emailing and none of their accounts are active.. very unprofessional to me. Yet they want you to physically send in a hand written cancellation letter, yet there's no where you can actually send it because they won't accept it at the San Jose location. It's quite scammy if you ask me, stay away unless you want to pay for this place until it finally is forced to

I've seen many people with the same issue. They will NOT stop charging you even after you STOP going here. I've been charged monthly and annual fees for OVER 2 YEARS hundreds of dollars for a place I don't even go to anymore and when asked about it and even in person directly they will not do a single thing and only misdirect you to go through a bunch of steps that will take months or more with no avail so they can KEEP charging you. Dont go here they're greedy little kids basically

I got a membership probably 2 years ago and I will go once in a while when they reopen I was planning to go back but thank God I didn't because this place got close down because they violated a bunch of Covid-19 regulations. But also if you thinking of cancelling let me tell you its very hard to do so I just spend 30 minutes arguing with them because the way to cancel is by sending a certified mail. yes mail not email, who uses mail to do anything this days it was just ridiculous since they will charge me in 3 days again I ask them to put a hold on the payment to my letter

3. Membership overage charged from "29.99" to "39.00" after 1 year contract but due to COVID, they kept the account suspended which means they'll charge you when they RE-open & they never send you an email or text message stating that they're going to RE-open or if they already RE-opened. They'll only charge your account and that's they way you find out they've been open illegally for a 1 million dollar violation without reimbursing

If I were to rate the gym itself, I'd give it a 4 stars. It's nice and spacious, and you never really have to compete with others for a weight rack. Plenty of equipment and classes.

This place is horrific! It was bad prior to COVID 19 so going back for me is not Updated review: Within the last few days I made a few visits and the gym looks soooo much cleaner. Still feel the cancellation process very difficult. Looks like the website was down so that made the process more difficult, but hopefully it is back up.ABC FINANCIAL is who handles cancellations and any questions.

IMPOSSIBLE TO CANCEL! If I could give this place zero stars I would! Hard to cancel the membership. I thought that I cancel it and it turns out that it takes 30 days from the day they receive your LETTER of cancelation. They are still charging me and charged me for a renewal fee. I asked for a refund on the renewal fee but got denied even though I haven't set foot at the gym in over a year.
