My mother was here as a health care resident and it was terrible!!! The nurses were great! But the main person in charge was rude and fake to everyone. I overheard him talking down to employees and about employees. My heart hurts for the employees there. He has to go. I think his name was dan? The nursing staff was great and I remember my mother mentioning the activity director and the nurses always made her feel good. They always made sure she was involved! It is a nice place and the only issue I really had was the way employees were treated by the one that was supposed to lead them! It seemed

I thank Laura the Dir of Nursing, Clay, who is the Social worker, nurses Crystal, Maniese, Peru as well as Mini to highlight the ones Steven and I could always count on to make his stay at Colonial Village a good experience. You became our caring family. Steve had been in other facilities around OPKS. You were the first group to welcome him back from hospital stays. We both felt you truly cared. Thank you all for being so good to Steve. Mini I thank you for your cheerfulness, your 'Tag' song and having what Steve needed in his room on a daily basis. Crystal thank you for going above and beyond

My mother was recently in respite care at this facility. I wouldn't wish the experience on anyone's loved one. Long list of complaints short... Medications and dressing changes late-- not just 20-30 minutes, but hours. One nurse in particular was completely incompetent. It's definitely in the interest of everyone if the day nurse would look over charting from the previous night.. To help avoid any dangerous mistakes. It would also be in the best interest of the patient, if nurses would check to make sure medication is able to be swallowed; not just shoving it in the mouth and walking away. My mother

My parents moved into Colonial Village in late February, one into Skilled Nursing and one into Assisted Living, the same building, but different areas because of care levels, (after 65 years of marriage my parents would not be together). Thinking this was going to be an adjustment was an understatement, but then you top it off a few weeks into getting to know your way around, getting used to new care givers, 3 ‘over protective’ adult children, advocating for their parents, and the CoVid Lockdown comes. Not only would the 3 of us not be able to have any physical contact/see our parents, they

I have visited this retirement community many times. It is a beautiful, recently built facility with friendly staff and an inviting, homey environment. The special events are well done and administration very professional. Those residents that I have met seem very happy and I have had the privilege of enjoying some of the food produced there, which was delicious. A new and growing community!
