Family ordered several items but the best was the ruben sandwich. The burger was small for the price. Looks like handcut French fries. Overall good experience.

Definitely a busy restaurant, all things considered, the wait staff did an amazing job keeping up.
I enjoyed the fish fry and tried the fish tacos which were also good.
Local beers are available on tap.

Totally suitable Mexican place as long as you know what you're in for. This is an up the middle suburbs Texmex place. It's not spicy; it's not super creative; but they do a great job within the lane they picked.

They've got chips, guac, margaritas, and cheese. How wrong can you go??

Kaija rocked out the service! As someone from the hospitality industry, I completely understand the staffing struggle. You would have no idea she was the only one working her section.

Good was also pretty good as well, but let's be honest, great food is nothing without great service!

My wife and I had dinner there last night and were very pleased. My wife had the seafood tacos and I had the big enchilada . The food was delicious and plentiful. We both truly enjoyed our dinner. I also want to point out the excellent service from our waiter. He checked back with us at least 5 times and kept our drinks filled without having to ask. I point this out because the restaurant was very busy and there were not many servers. He looked like he was literally running between tables, yet was very attentive and friendly! It was a very enjoyable meal and we will be back again soon.

Such a great place to go. Two restaurants in one! Order from either menu, it’s all good. Personally, I love the burrito and margaritas. The vibe is great there too. Be sure to talk to the fisherman at the bar!

Good Burger and service was fast given how busy the place was on Thursday. Chips and Guacamole were decent for the price..$8. JJ the owner was also the host and did a good job keeping tables moving. I'll be back for sure.

Stumbled upon this place while driving around door county. The ambience was just lively and the waitress was friendly. We got chicken fajitas, quesadillas and some sandwiches. The salsa here is the one of the best salsas I have ever tasted. We got a lot of refills of the chips haha. If you are in sister bay, never miss this place. Definitely going back for some chips and salsa…

The food was really delicious. I had a shrimp dinner and it was done to perfection. Due to staffing issues (post labor day in a resort area), expect to wait. The staff were very friendly and were trying their best to serve everyone timely.

Very average Mexican restaurant. Generally busy, staff are nice. Food is average at best. Don't order the guacamole, $8.95 for 3 small spoonfuls. It didn't taste good either. Their salsa is good! Many flies inside. Bottom line is, there many other restaurants I would try if I go back to DC!

They put together our large carry out order in amazing time! Everyone was able to get something they wanted with their large and diverse menu. I got the enchiladas and they were flavorful (definitely had a kick!) and yummy. It was great way to end our Door County vacation!

We loved the Mexican food here. The homemade chips and salsa were so good. First, I had the grilled fish tacos. They added cole slaw and they tasted great. During my second visit, I had the cheese enchiladas...yum! Others at my table tried the chimichanga, chicken tacos and combo platter. All were great - expect a wait but well worth it.

We have been dining here forever! Of course, we love it in the winter because it's not so crowded. :) The fish tacos are wonderful grilled or fried, but the perch tacos are even a step above! Their salsa and chips are fantastic. The perfect recipe for fresh salsa, somehow they nail it all the time. Margaritas are wonderful too.

Visited the Sugar Shack to have cocktails on the dock. Beautiful day and delicious drinks. Great way to end the day after a day of exploring the nearby area of Door County. Drinks were of the tropical variety, reasonably priced and well crafted.

We had the Fajitatas, both Chicken and Steak. My wife and I did it as a carryout and shared them Everything was terriffic.
We tried this place based on the Yelp reviews. When I got there I excited to see that the restaurant was crowded. Very good sign. Will definitely go back to dine in!

It was absolutely a mad house on a Sunday night when we walked in at 7 pm. We wanted to order to-go but the host said they don't do that. Yet we saw a few to-go orders right by the counter. He then said it's his first day and he didn't know when we asked him what those orders were. He said the wait time for table of 2 was 30 mins.

Walked towards the bar and wanted to clarify if to-go orders were off limits. She told us to place it with the bartender. Both bartenders were crazy busy and took 10 minutes to acknowledge us. Placed our orders and was told to return in 20 mins. We waited

JJ's restaurant is a good value for the money the Mexican food is mediocre needs a little more authentic spice but the service was good, atmosphere is fun and the prices are good too. The inside kind a looks like a Margaritaville bar.

We came for the sunset view and stayed to order some fish & chips. The sunset was awesome! There's a dock outback and I decided to walk down there while we waited for our takeout order.

My boyfriend and I weren't that hungry, so we just got one order of fish & chips and it was the perfect size dinner. The fish were in stick form and didn't have too much breading in them. The fish was tender and flaky and had good flavor alone, but the tarter sauce with it was great. There were plenty of fries for the both of us to share and neither of us were hungry at the end of the meal

Food here is fine. I had the classic tacos, crispy, with ground beef. Pretty solid. Rice and beans on the side too.

Tables here are a mix of high top tables and booths that only a skinny pre-teen could comfortably sit in. If you're older and prefer your feet planted on the ground while you sit or you are a healthy weight adult, you won't be able to fit in the booths. Awful!

They serve RC cola here so I'll leave that up to you to determine if that's acceptable. I'm not a fan of it at all. I ordered a Diet Sprite and what I got tasted like plain seltzer water. When I sent

Oh my gosh. My wife and I both had the Rambo Burger. This is one of the better burgers I've had in memory and it was only $5.95. I have no idea how the made it, but it was seasoned perfectly, had a great texture, and was oh-so-juicy.

Add $3.95 for a huge side of fries and that's one heck of a great meal.

I will caveat that you probably don't come to Door County to get the most authentic Mexican food around, so this review is on a rolling basis. The place offers a large menu of Mexican and traditional (burgers, sandwiches, etc.) and is typically crowded with locals and tourists. Typically you might have to wait a bit. Overall we're partial to a history of coming here and getting chips and salsa (delicious and complementary) and frozen margaritas. I enjoy their chicken fajita salad and their Mexican entrees are typically huge. This is a good place for a family of eclectic tastes and needs
