DO NOT LIVE HERE! These people are so unprofessional. My daughter goes to school at v tech and she lives here and has been living here since august and has had many issues. They’ve had many bug issues. Everyday a bug is seen in the apartment and in their rooms and kitchen . There’s been spiders, centipedes, and roaches. They have had an exterminator come in and spray but they are still seeing bugs. There has also been a mold issue in the vents and unusual stains in the bathroom. Diane Mack is the person that has not been of assistance to the residents of this building, she has not been helpful

I absolutely love it here. Diane and Roxie are the friendliest property managers EVER! The maintenance crew does a fantastic job as well. You can't beat the team here. It's a quiet community, and everyone I've met is so kind! I've lived at The Mill for two years now, and I really have no complaints. The commute to campus is easy too. Very warm and welcoming here at The Mill :)

Where do I start. This place is hot garbage. There was mysterious yellow mildew on the ceiling of the bathroom. There was a dead bug on my carpet in my room when I moved in. There are remains of dead bugs on the walls from where previous tenants have killed bugs to which I have now added to. There are really exotic looking bugs and creatures spiders and centipedes that I have found in my room alone. I told maintenance about the issue the first time and they said they saw nothing, then I told them about it again and no one even came this time. There are tiny little bugs that just hang out on the

Diane, Roxie, Herb, and all the staff are amazing and make you feel very welcome at The Mill. The rent is very well priced for what you get. Some areas are outdated, but everything is SUPER clean. We were surprised how clean the kitchen, carpets, and bathroom were when we moved in.
The bedrooms are a good size, one is larger than the other (in the 2br). The living room can comfortably fit a large couch/sectional and a TV. The kitchen is small but manageable with a lot of cabinet space.
Our bathroom was renovated this week to replace the old green tiles with new walls and shower. A huge improvement

This apartment complex is low quality with low quality maintenance and disrespectful people who work at the leasing office. One of the women at the leasing office was very nice but the other woman was actually mean and nasty for little to no reason. I know it’s cheap but that doesn’t warrant being rude.

No major complaints. Just lacking in amenities - pool was only really open in the summer when I was not there much, the basketball court had grass growing through cracks in the court, hammocks were infested with bugs but that was probably seasonal. Nice laundry system with re-loadable cards - no need to harvest quarters

I lived in a 3 bedroom at the Mill for a year. The appliances in the apartment were very old, and the living room AC unit was extremely loud. Since there is no AC in the rooms, living there in the summer is torture (You would need to buy a fan). The apartment buildings are very old. During the summer, too many flies would find their way into the apartment even though the windows were closed, it was such an uncomfortable experience. The maintenance team helped spray the windows with a bug repellent but there were still lots of flies in the end. There was a cockroach infestation in the kitchen, it

I have given it 4 stars after weighing the pros and cons of living here (at the end).
I lived here for 2 years. For the first apartment they told us that we had a new carpet but it was full of pet hair (we didnt complain). We had to vacuum 3-4 times to get everything out. After move out the first time we had the inspection done in front of us and they told us we would have "minimal deductions". When we got the refund they added more deductions after the fact. It was not a big problem because the deposit was only $400 for the whole apartment.
The second year they actually gave us new carpet (replaced

Let's keep it short.
It's cheaper than other places.
It is old and dirty.
There are ants and hornets.
If there are any damages, they will ask you to pay for it when you leave.
You will get half of your deposit back by end of the year.
You will save some money living here and you will lose some money by the time you move out.
If you want to live here, it's your call.

My experience at The Mill, while certainly a short one, was not the most enjoyable. In summary, although it was on the cheaper side(and I believe that rent has gone up), I do not believe that I was getting the best "bang for my buck." Mysterious pink mildew on the bathroom ceiling, sink handles that would turn into boomerangs and suddenly fly off when you went to turn on the faucet, a lingering stench of cat urine and a finicky oven whose stove tops were particular about when they would decide to turn on are only a smattering of the various idiosyncrasies that made my stay at the Mill

I had no problems living here. The apartments are well maintained and they are quick to fix any problems. They allow pets; large and small dogs for an additional fee and deposit. The staff is friendly and willing to go the extra mile for you. They were able to find someone to take over the remaining 3 months of my lease. I have not lived at a place where the management staff really works with you. The units are built to allow for good ventilation. You hardly need the AC, but it never really gets that warm in Blacksburg. The 2 bedroom apartment had good sized rooms and closets. The Mill

My son lived here for a while after graduation. I was glad when he moved out.
The first floor apartments are actually about four feet under ground, so that your window sills are at ground level. This makes for a dank, musty smell, and good luck trying to get rid of it.
The apartment was decent in size, with the exception of the kitchen, which is just a narrow little strip. If you have anything on the counter, you're left with no room for food prep. The small bathroom is okay, but the tub and sink caulking looked like it was done by a preschooler.
The walls were painted without any effort
