Scoma's Sausalito is a delightful waterfront treasure. Floating out over the bay, Scoma's is an enchanting and romantic destination for both locals and visitors, serving up the freshest seafood available in the San Francisco bay area, for lunch and dinner.
The Scoma family's lineage is Sicilian, a culture with deep roots in the fishing industry and rich ethnic cuisine, which gave rise to their first restaurant, Scoma's on the San Francisco waterfront. Its popularity and success eventually led to the opening of a second restaurant, Scoma's Sausalito, in 1969.

Services
San Francisco's Blue and Gold Fleet operates seven days a week serving Sausalito from Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 41. The Golden Gate Ferry Service also serves Sausalito daily from the downtown San Francisco Ferry Building. Initially I didn't think we'd get in - the online reservations said that Scoma's was booked solid until the next day. But we took a chance and lucked out - they were able to immediately find us a table for two.
Scoma's is a bit of a tourist destination, but don't let that put you off - the food and service is excellent. We were constantly seen to by our waiter, which is nice in a place that busy.
In addition to the Pear Arugulla Spring Salad, we each got our own order of Grilled Bay Scallops. The entire meal was superb.
So if you are in Sausalito and it looks like Scoma

Not the same as Scoma's in SF, disappointing food, servers are rude if you're not white.
We came here by recommendation and was celebrating an achievement. We made reservations online which was for a party of 4 and another for a party of 2.
We came in, got seated. The restaurant wasn't even half occupied. The manager went beyond with our seating request (as we were waiting for a part of our party with different reservation time as us by 30min).
We did expect that this restaurant had a different menu than that in SF, however, what we didn't expect is that most of their menu

Perfect meal from start to finish.
Fresh baked bread and butter.
Tried the special holiday pomegranate margarita and it was delicious.
Appetizer for us was the crab cakes and they were fresh delicious and NOT full of breading. I think these are the only ones I can consistently get that aren't just filler! Thank you.
I had the lobster risotto and my husband had the sea scallops. Both delicious.
Finished with a tiramisu and espresso and cappuccino as you should.
Great service by Omar too.

Cute and cozy spot right on the waterfront! Made a reservation about a week in advance, so we were seated indoors with an ocean view (although not right by the window). The sourdough table bread offered was quite tasty (had requested more because we were famished from a bike ride, but never materialized - all good).
We had the hog island oysters and Fanny bay oysters which were both gorgeous and tasty. The hog island was definitely the star (though around here, could you blame them?). I also had a cup of the clam chowder (Boston style, lotssss of clams on every bite), and the beet salad (loved

Scoma's sits in a prime location on the waterfront of Sausalito, serving delicious food that doesn't disappoint.
We came here for an early dinner and reserved an outdoor table in advance. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the waterfront dining was prime.
We ordered exclusively seafood dishes here. To start, we ordered the coconut curry mussels, which were very meaty and tasty. For the main dishes , we ordered a lobster risotto and the sole. The sole was perfectly flaky-cooked in a delectable lemon caper sauce. The risotto was interesting- not quite as rich and creamy

My husband and I read the great reviews about the restaurant and were excited to have lunch at Scoma's of Sausalito. The restaurant looked so charming from outside when we drove by. It was cozy inside the restaurant with lots of windows that allow the sunlight. Their dishes were ok, the presentation of the foods were pretty, nothing impressive as far as the tastes. It is over priced for the tastes.

First time visiting Sausalito-such a great little town.
We ended up here as part of a tour out of San Fan where they took us to see the Muir Redwoods with a lunch stop in Sausalito.
We could pick anywhere we wanted to eat and we chose Scoma's because of the beautiful location on the water. So pretty!
It was Labor Day weekend, they open at 11, we got there at 11 and got a seat, no problem.
We ended up doing very light food with some great mimosas! I love it when restaurants squeeze their own fresh orange juice.
We had a bowl of their clam chowder, wonderful.
We also had their Beet

At first i thought they only have few options on their menu. But when we started to order from our drinks to appetizers and main courses made me speechless.100%fresh seafoods, not greasy, not salty at all and full of flavor that will make you speechless and concentrate on your food. Literally melts into your mouth.
Everything is just so good!!! I can't wait to be back in this place again. Nice ambiance and 10/10 for food quality. A must to try place.
And yes it is true "The quality of the food than the quantity of food on the menu. "

There's just honestly not enough great things I can say about this place. The staff, ambience, and service is off the chain. You can feel the love they put into this restaurant and food.
I had the Wagyu beef short ribs with Truffle mashed potatoes OMG. The meat just melts in your mouth! I've had nothing like this beef in life. Also tried the Panna cotta for dessert. My lord it was luscious and creamy while not too sweet.
Marin Tai (Mai Tai) is my favorite drink there.
Peter and David our hosts were super friendly and warm.
All around great experience and views of the Bay. Just do

The view is great and the food is amazing!! Based on my friend's feedback, their oysters are the best in Bay area! Oysters Sausalito (baked oysters) and Lazy Cioppino are also really great.
The weather in Sausalito is a little cold because of the sea breeze. If you want to sit outside, make sure you prepare enough clothes.
Overall, I really recommend this restaurant to anyone who visits Sausalito!

We had a table of 10 for lunch on a weekday at Scoma’s of Sausalito and were very pleased with the experience.
The setting over the water on the bay is gorgeous. As expected , they had outstanding seafood options on the menu, as well as traditional dishes, vegetarian options, salads, and sandwiches. Everyone in our party was happy with the quality of their meals, and portion sizes were ample. I had the clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl, which was amazing and very highly recommended. The wine list was fairly priced, and they had a few good local craft beer options (although only two draft

We indulged in a special lunch at Scoma's today, and everything was delicious. We were lucky to get a table outside right by the water, and our charismatic waiter (Peter) made us feel very welcomed. Everything we ordered was beautifully presented and was fresh and delicious.
What we ordered:
+ Clam chowder - this had the perfect consistency and had great flavor.
+ Lobster risotto - the risotto was creamy and there's lots of lobster. The mushrooms were a great addition.
+ Dungeness crab cakes - 2 crab cakes made of fresh crab and spicy remoulade sauce. There's also a small arugula
