For this most part, Asbury Plaza has been a great place to live. The locations can't be beat. The apartments are spacious and clean. The amenities are great. There are tons of community building events, which are a fun way to get involved and get to know your neighbors. The door staff are absolutely incredible and I love every one of them. Maintenance is extremely responsive and prompt any time I put in a request. The staff in the management office are kind and caring; they treat residents like people, not just numbers. I have had a very great experience from living at Asbury Plaza. Any situation that occurs management is very quick, responsive and handles everything in such a great manner. The manager is very communicative which I love, I would highly recommend living here and on top of the top notch management the location is amazing!

After my first few weeks here, I wanted leave a review to help prospective tenants - I leased remotely and relied on reviews just like this. If anything occurs in the future which leads me to rethink this review, I'll come back to edit same.

I just wanted to warn anyone before they move in here what the experience is truly like. The door staff and maintenance are very kind and super accommodating. The management is super below average at best, and rarely ever solve problems and refuse to take any kind of initiative. The laundry rooms get over crowded and dirty really quickly the way that people fail to take care of it, the gym needs to be cleaned more and the gym mats are literally falling apart. The HVAC in the building is a nightmare. If it's 80 degrees out for the next few weeks they literally will not turn on the air conditioning

I signed a lease agreement today. I am so impressed by the staff at Asbury Plaza. I have lived in more than a few places in my lifetime and the service here during the leasing process has been excellent. I worked with both Thomas and Nedra Johnson. Thomas was excellent, friendly and professional. I especially found the assistance given to me by Miss Nedra Johnson to be extra special. She worked with me over a 2 week period to find the best apartment at the right price for me. Do not live here, it's a total waste of money. I loved it here my first year and absolutely regret resigning my lease for a second year. Anytime I needed help from management I had to contact them repeatedly for help and once I do get a hold of someone, they have been rude. The only staff that are consistently helpful and cordial are maintenance and most front desk staff. The mail room is also often unorganized. Staff and residents alike have not worn masks properly, even when getting on elevators. Once in a while the lobby smells like hot garbage for a good week. On top of a nonrefundable

I have lived at Asbury Plaza now for just shy a year (10 months or so) - they have been nothing but amazing, professional and extremely accommodating. I am writing this during the pandemic and they have not only taken every precaution suggested by the CDC, but been so helpful and kind through the process. I have to leave this review because I just had an incredible experience with a maintenance request where my kitchen sink was draining slowly - the worker (who I have yet to find and thank) came in while I was out, fixed the sink, did my dishes and left the dishwasher running. The location is prime. It's around all fantastic places to eat and super walkable to the lake, south loop and Gold Coast. The interior is just normal, it has normal good appliances in the kitchen but it's not super boujee. There was construction across the street but it wasn't a big deal to me. I like looking at new construction sites. They don't work weekends so weekends are super calm and quiet. The management is so sweet. Nedra and all the leasing agents are super nice and helpful. Things that stand out - enough sunlight, roomy and airy with balconies (perfect for summers!), up-to-date furnishing and a nice neighborhood with awesome hangouts within a radius of just a quarter mile. Great supportive staff and very prompt service to any requests. Really glad to have picked this is as my home :)

I am so happy I chose to live at Asbury Plaza. I could not speak more highly of my experience at AP. The staff are phenomenal and highly responsive to questions and maintenance requests. AP is in a great… location - close to shopping, restaurants, and attractions. The building has great amenities: free yoga 3x week, gym, pool, large laundry room, and additional amenities that can be used for a fee (e.g. dry cleaning, apartment cleaning, personal training). Asbury Plaza is a great place to live. You can't beat the price for the location. All of the people who work in the building are truly top notch and definitely enhance the building. Maintenance is super quick to requests, even though there haven't been that many. The people who live here are also friendly. There's a pool, fitness room, and the washers & dryers (although not in-unit and a bit pricey) are very good.
The biggest downfalls are the aforementioned washer and dryer situation and that it's carpeted instead of hardwood floors. That said, the carpet is realllllly

My wife and I lived here over a year now. By far the best value of any building in this area. Management and staff know us by name and always go the extra mile to make residents feel comfortable. The gym is beyond adequate for cardio and weight training, the pool is a great place to chill out and yoga classes are offered. Dining, shopping and nightlife are literally steps away. We sometimes work nights and love the fact there is 24 hour security at the front door. No other building in the area provides this level of service, safety and amenities for the price (trust me we looked everywhere

I have lived at Asbury Plaza for over 4 years. I have to say that it is a great building to live in. The staff is wonderful. Management is on top of things and always willing and able to assist to the best of their ability. The engineers take care of issues right away. The door staff is always nice and greets you with a smile and some conversation.
The apartments are spacious and reasonable considering the wonderful amenities offered, including a pool and state of the art workout room.
The building management works hard at creating a sense of community by organizing events and parties.

This is my second time living at Asbury Plaza. It was a great building in the 80's and it's a greater building to call home now. The staff is friendly and customer focused when it comes to residents' needs.

ASBURY IS AMAZING!! We LOVE living here! We've been residents for almost two years and plan to stay many more!
The location, rent, square footage, and all the amenities in Asbury are hard to beat but the staff are truly the heart and soul of this beautiful building and a huge reason as to why people stay here! There is always someone at the front desk, 24/7, who genuinely care and want to get to know the residents!
