Shannon, Shirley and Dameon are the most wonderful office staff! So glad we have a great management team! Love the Villas and walking down to the beach! I rarely write reviews. I might be better off not writing this review, because the current 2.6 stars rating (27 reviews) probably keeps rents down by lowering demand. However, most of the poor reviews and the low rating rankles my sense of reality and fairness. I like the prospect of getting even more sharp, with-it neighbors here. So a more objective, thoughtful review is warranted, IMHO.
My wife and I have lived here almost five years. Love it here! Prior, we lived in a SFR on a cul de sac in the hills in Glendale/La Canada with great views. That home was great; this is better. Here are reasons

This property has gone downhill and is continuing to decline.
The security gates across from the fire station haven't worked in 3 yrs and as of today were still not working.
The quality of tenants has declined, the apartments are old, they have no ac and are very outdated.
There are multiple tenants in apartments and they are noisy, smoke and there are junkies in the pool areas.
The windows are old and drafty and the bathrooms are just grossly outdated.
Management is mediocre at best and maintenance seems to be overwhelmed. Most likely due to the fact these buildings are decades old and everything

There are not enough words to describe the problems at these so called luxury apartments. There budget is mostly for the grounds so when touring the property they look impressive but the apartments themselves are horrific. Old construction that receives a just new coat of paint when a tenant moves out. It peels and is loaded with termite droppings. The management can’t keep a staff so they are changing weekly and don’t even bother to return calls. There is no security. The location is the only reason people choose to live here. Tons of surfers piled into on apartment and the noice level of

What a lovely apartment community just steps from the ocean.
I've lived here for almost 9 years and no plans to leave..The manager Shannon Stewart is amazing . Very professional with an extremely friendly helpful approach.
The staff as well very friendly and accommodating .The grounds are well maintained and lovely views . There are great community events all the time... A very nice place to come home to.

These apartments are incredibly outdated, outworn, and in horrible condition. They were built in the 70's and from the looks, they haven't been renovated or refurbished since then, AND the over priced rent doesn't include a refrigerator! After I viewed a 1 bedroom apartment with cracked counter tiles, cabinets hanging off hinges, I was told I could rent a refrigerator for $28. a month. As if I wouldn't already be paying more than what this place is worth, they want tenants to pay for an appliance that comes with pretty much every other apartment...anywhere! I have to agree with others' reviews

They really should get someone to clean the washing machines. Machines are often filled with hair and dirt. A lot of people that live here are quite dirty. They should get rid of the hair off their clothes before putting them in the washing machines. See uploaded picture. I asked the cleaning guy if anyone cleaned the inside and he said he does not clean inside (only outside of machines he said). Machine looked like someone who owns pets decided to fill machine up with pet laundry. Management needs to hire someone that cleans machines on weekends when most people do their laundry. For some reason

This place charges you every step of the way- And when you move out... $1,600 deposit becomes $350.
They have a huge legal contract moving in...and then they slam you on the way out. They rarely answer the phone during work hours and when you go to the office they are not even there most of the time.
It took a month to get my deposit back and it was shot to pieces with all their made up fees! They only talk to you when they want something!
3 emails sent asking for when i could expect my deposit back and not one reply. They charge a "water fee" for the grounds per month, a pet fee per month,
