When athletes, corporate executives and weekend warriors want an integrated, scientific approach to fitness, they call Mark Diaz at Physiqology. Mark's experience in strength training and physical preparation spans over 25 years. Bindu has over a decade of experience working as a personal trainer and strength coach in New York City.
Physiqology is the elegant synergy of personal training, flexibility and body work, dietary modification and clinical nutrition. The proper balance of these modalities makes for the attainment of aggressive fitness goals in a sustainable model. Every process needs a beginning. When you engage in personal training with us, we make sure that your beginning is the best that it can be. Your consultation gives us the necessary details pertaining to you, and helps us design a personal fitness program specific to your training goals. Our comprehensive health questionnaire is the starting point for your needs analysis.
Personal training is a continuum of the other four processes. The interrelationship of these types of personal training is a function of the goals of the client. When improving body composition, you may work on fat loss; you may work on muscle growth (hypertrophy), or, ideally, you may work on both.
Physiqology takes many of the best known and most efficient schools of thought on flexibility training and creates a unique approach to stretching that we tailor to the individual needs of our client. Two of the most well-known methods we employ are Anne and Chris Fredericks' Stretch to Win Fascial Stretch Therapy, and the myofascial stretching philosophies of Guy Voyer, DO, as covered in his SomaTraining and Applied Soma Therapy courses.
