Services
When I was a little girl my Mom would take me grocery shopping so I could buy boxes of cake mixes with my allowance. I loved adding things to the mix to see what effect my additions made. Often times, the center of the cake bubbled up or the outer edges were over baked but I always loved seeing the smiles it put on my parents face when they tried my latest creation.
A wedge of house made seasonal quiche, fresh fruit, mini-pastries, and your choice of orange juice or coffee. Includes a full-size sandwich on our House Made Bread, seasonal pasta salad or a field green salad, Tim's chips and full-size cookie. Oven roasted turkey, cucumber, red bell pepper, lettuce, mashed avocado & dijon aioli on roasted garlic deli bread.
This is very hard for us but unfortunately we need to suspend our Plant based meals for a bit. Due to the severe employee shortage in the restaurant industry, we are running short staffed. We wanted real croissants and this seemed to be a great place for that. I was very happy with the plain croissant - it was flakey/crisp on the outside, buttery soft on the inside.
I wasn't sure what to expect with the cheese and bacon biscuit, it was substantial, cheesy with nice chunks of bacon. Probably not something to reheat in the microwave if you want to keep the original texture.
The wife had the everything croissant, similar to an everything bagel. She thought it was a bit garlicky for her taste. The chocolate croissant was fantastic however.

Love love the variety you get from Bleu Door. The lemon sauce is a must when you get beignets! The pick up window outside is very convenient and the staff is always very friendly! We also like to use Bleu Door for catering for our business. Bonnie and her team make everything run so smoothly so we can focus on our customers needs. They are quick and efficient caterers!

This bakery is so awesome! I love the selection of pastries and especially that they have so many vegan options, since I can’t have dairy. In fact, the vegan pistachio cherry danish is probably the BEST danish I’ve ever eaten. We love stopping by when we’re on this side of town and trying new treats!

Today my Husband and I stopped to get coffee and a sandwich, I needed to use the restroom, they were only serving street side but had their outside tables open. Told me I need to walk to Walgreens to us theirs. No one was going to open their facilities. I am not homeless and I was spending money at their business. Came back and asked again. No. Needed to really go pee bad. Was getting agitated because I really had to go. “A basic human need!!!” They brought out a manager who proceeded to tell me no again, agitated and needing to go, I heard her the first time. My son got married overseas and came to visit last month so we hosted a "wedding reception" to celebrate their marriage. We ordered 3 cakes, the German Chocolate, Raspberry and Carrot Cake. I loved all three, the chocolate was not a typical German chocolate as it was also filled with rich ganache, the raspberry was fresh and not dry at all but still light, but the Carrot Cake was the crown jewel. It was layered with cream cheese filling and topped with lemon curd. Honestly the best carrot cake I have ever eaten. I highly recommend the carrot cake, especially if you already like carrot

The only problem is there is no problem. Everything is delicious. I have tried the almond croissant, raspberry crumb, apple galette, and the orange cardamom bundt. I have a weak spot for croissants and it checked all the boxes. Flaky buttery and just enough sweetness. The crumb cake was moist and a combo I am glad worked. The galette was a little more tart than I would have liked but otherwise fine. The bundt needs to go with a beverage as it is a denser cake.

I've heard great things about this place and actually had a co-worker recommend for me to come here during lunch, so of course I had to give it a try.
It's a cute little area and I'd love to see the inside once they open up again. Unfortunately, I am not a fan of their outside organization. I guess it's my fault for not ordering online, but they take a long time taking the orders of walk-in customers. Maybe having two cashier registers open would be a good idea during busier times. It could also be just because customers are indecisive.
The food is great, though. Honestly, their oven roasted

Bleu Door is one of those places where, one morning, you may suddenly start wondering if you're going there a little too often. Despite my best attempts to not become a regular at any establishment, BD's baking, cooking and espresso calls me back far more often than I expected. Resistance is futile. A MUST VISIT IN VANCOUVER!! After stopping at Pho Haven, my boyfriend and I took a quick stroll down the street to Bleu Door Bakery. They're handling COVID well by having an express stand instead of opening the inside of the storefront.
I missed out on beignets since it was the end of the day, but we ended up getting 3 cookies--their signature triple chocolate with toffee and hazelnut as well as the chocolate chip. Let me tell you, these cookies, the signature on in particular made it in the top cookies I've had in my life! Chewy yet crisp texture and the cookie itself is HUGE! 10000

Blue Door Bakery was a great place to stop
For breakfast today, it is located in uptown Vancouver. Me and my date saw good reviews so we decided to go for breakfast. We walked up to an outtdor area where we could see they took orders and she said you can order there or right around the corner is door to the restaurant, we headed there so we could sit. As you walk in you see to the left is a showcase with lots of bakery options that all look very delicious! We got seated quickly & the waitress was friendly. I got the biscuits & gravy and added 2 eggs over easy, the biscuit was tasty

Walked in here about 10am! Got seated about 20 mins later! It was super hectic and I was kind of concerned about the breakfast/lunch flip! We all know I love my breakfast! I ended up knowing what I wanted at 10am, 11am is the cut off!
I would say I wouldn't get the hash again! I ended up going three more times and I loves the special omelette of the day, the marble toast and the coffee was pretty delicious! I'm a fan, but the second to last time I went I got the food from the grab window and that was equally just as amazing! Mean I was in and out which was great for me.

This uptown restaurant is so cute. The atmosphere is fun and Saturday brings in a full crowd for brunch and was well worth the 20 min wait. The food is tasty and creative. I had a slice of quiche that was served with a wonderful fresh green salad and tiny croissant. They even had a selection of local hot sauces that they brought out with our meal. Not to mention a huge selection of beautiful baked goods to take home. We will definitely be making this a regular spot.

Unique is the ability to order a plate of beignets with lemon curd as a pre-breakfast or brunch appetizer. They're on the better side of average, but are nothing outstanding.
Many main dishes come with a lovely salad, which helps to lighted some of the heartier offerings.
The corned beef hash was very good overall, with its horseradish sauce being the perfect compliment.
The baked goods are pricey and are not on-par with some of their competitors.
