We will meet you wherever you are in your journey- injured elite athlete, post-rehab clients, and clients with chronic low back, hip or other injuries. For your healing process we use one on one private sessions using Pilates and GYROTONIC sessions, functional movement, the body's anatomical design to improve your joint and muscle function and reduce pain.

Pilates at EPY Center has been offering Pilates sessions in Sacramento for the past 12 years. The Franklin Method uses imagery to connect the mind to the body through a greater understanding of the bones, muscles and the organs. By understanding the design of your body's parts and learning their purpose, you begin to use those parts for their intended use.
EPY Pilates is the Balanced Body Pilates Teacher Training Facility - so we have to be up on the latest knowledge. We know functional and bio-mechanical movement of the body and apply it to the advanced repertoire to give you a fabulous workout that is safe and challenging for you. For your safety and benefit, our equipment classes are divided into levels - We recommend private sessions prior to start of group classes.
Pilates is practiced through the use of spring resistant machines and through a series of floor exercises designed to use the body's power center, or "core". Pilates exercises allow the client to work on alignment while correcting muscular imbalances. Performed slowly, these efficient, highly controlled movements engage the entire body.
The Franklin Method uses imagery to connect the mind to the body through a greater understanding of the bones, muscles and the organs. By understanding the design of your body's parts and learning their purpose, you begin to use those parts for their intended use. The more we practice how we want to be (more balanced, better posture, being happy, more flexible) the better our desired outcome.

The trainers are the most educated and professional that I have ever encountered. The sessions at EPY Pilates are taught in such a way that I can visualize the proper connection in movement. Small group classes allow the trainers to observe and guild this movement properly. I especially like how the trainers remember what my strengths and weaknesses are week to week, and offer customized training even in a group session.
