Asked for few things while ordering .... none of which was considered .. slightly disappointed but food was good.

Delicious south indian food with Tamil/Telugu influences. There are a variety of chutneys served as well apart from the usual ones. Would recommend the chettinaadu masala dosa.

Horrible place to eat. Specifically when you have loooots of good places to eat around. My Dosa was burnt to death. The chutney had tooo much salt. Sambar was horrible.

I thought it's one time thing and went 1week after and ordered a family dosa. OMG. It's sad how bad the dosa was and comes with a pathetic and very less quantity potato masala. The chutney this time had no salt and sambar was way too salty. The pongal was dry and real bad. They screwed up the easiest thing 'papad' too not sure how. The tea was cold.

The place is dirty and really unhygienic too. Save yourself

I prefer to give 0 stars to this useless restaurant. These people serve stale food. We ordered catering service and these people served stale food..it was a huge embarrassment for us. These people are worthless every penny. We should give complain to health department about what these guys are doing. Just completely avoid this place, save money and also getting embarrassment in front of your guests.

A good place for Indian vegetarian food. Parotta combo is a must try. Service was a bit slow.

They have good south Indian options. Ordered paratha combo, which was decent. Also tried sambhar vada which seemed tasty. Overall taste wise it's not the best (compared to other Indian restaurants around) but still it's fine to eat once a while

Recently ordered a catering service. Food was pathetic. Bisibele Bhat and pulav along with aloo gobhi were not of standards. Aloo gobhi was stale looked like 3-4 days old. Bisibele bhat looked like some left over sambar mixed rice with very tangy flavor. Pulav was some white rice fried in oil. Please try to maintain standards. Want to give 0 stars but it won't allow.IF SOME ONE IS PLANNING FOR THIS RESTAURANT PLEASE PLEASE AVOID.

Absolutely the worst restaurant experience.I would usually not write a poor review(I'd just not return - but this one needed one to hopefully save the day for even 1 family , it will be worth writing).

Firstly, the seating was old and sofas were ripped. Turn off but ignored it. Next, most importantly, the food - dosa was cold and soggy, masala was tasteless , idli was dry and cold. No water was served. I can understand being short staffed - they changed the ordering system to go and order at the counter - totally fine as long the lady would be attentive and get the order right. Once an excellent restaurant - now is dishing out inedible food.
Sambar, Rasam, Chutneys are watery - no taste.
Chefs seem to dilute food items to make up the quantity.
Potato masala filing for dosa is chunky and very bland.
Channa masala is not boiled.
Kootu/Poriyal/Kuruma is uncooked.
Prices have increased due to COVID but food quality is pathetic.
The only reason this restaurant is surviving is because of no competitor in this area.

Food was cold, we ordered 2 combos idli were like talen from freezer, Chutney is not fresh.

Bismilabath and hot pongal it looks like they used frozen food.

Simple and tasty south indian place. Tried the mini-meals for dinner and was more than satisfied. Very homely/Indian feels here including the water jug.
An apt suiting for those who tend to finish their meals with some curd rice.

Very inconsistent food. Came here a couple of days ago, the dosas, Sambar and chutneys were good; plus the kurma that came kottu paratha was unique as it had paneer.

Went today expecting another great experience but today the Sambar was too salty, requested hot water and diluted it and added sugar to make it palatable. Chutneys were fresh though. Ordered the paratha combo, which came with cholay and kurma; the cholay was not fresh and kurma was unique but this time they had rajma (kidney beans). Attached photo of Kurma with rajma. First time seeing rajma in kurma, and taste was ok definitely

The two stars are for the food which was good. We ordered Cheese Dosa, Pesarattu and Ghee Rava Dosa. The wait for these items was horrendous. Never expected that they'd take so long to make it ready.

Looks like the management changed and the quality took a wrong turn
One of the worst tasting food I ever had

Tasteless and overpriced food. I have eaten at their Fremont(now closed) location and assumed the same quality. I ordered the Combo 2. The vada was apparently made with old batter because it was sour. Everything else was bland and tasteless. The portions were tiny, as if it was a child meal. Considering the combo meal was almost $15 all included, it was absolutely disappointing. I absolutely wouldn't go here again.

Have been to the ananda Bhavan in Sunnyvale and assumed same level of quality in Pleasanton and boy were we wrong. Every single dish was worthy of a send back. First up rasam vada and sambhar vada, both sent back not once but twice because the vada was not cooked through, still wet batter inside! Even when we finally got a "cooked through" version it was below average. Ordered dosa next wouldn't say was great but simple edible. Lastly ordered puri jam for my kids. Raw puri dough fried in questionable poor heated oil - we got thick brown oily discs I wouldn't dare let my child

I went there again, after a long time. Was hoping for a good meal. This time, it was a mixed bag. Again I had Rassa Vada, which was ok.. a bit bland and less warm. Still, not bad.
Next came Onion Rava masala... Well, without Masala bhaji. I had to ask for it. Dosa was not bad at all. Rest of the Sambhar, Chutnies etc were very small portions.
Overall, strictly ok ok. They could do better.

Not very good. We ordered regular south indian tiffins and all tasted very bad. Vadas were very hard and idli were pink.

Awesomeness!!! We got the Kalyana Sapudu ( meaning wedding lunch) or in other words a Thali meal ‘to go’. I am always weary about getting such elaborate meals as a ‘to go’ order, however this restaurant has it perfected.
Food taste and quality is an A+
Selection of items and the packaging is an A+
Each thali meal came with two large Rotis/chapatis and a lot of rice. The rice was fresh and fluffy.
I cannot wait for my next trip back to the Bay Area and enjoy the wonderful food.

Horrible service. Came with my family for dinner, we were the only ones in the restaurant so you would think it would be easy to serve the table. Wrong.

They did not bring out any plates or silverware even when the food came, until we asked. There was 7 of us, when they came they brought 4 plates. Is it not common sense to bring one plate per person at the table? We are all adults no children. I had to ask for 3 more plates.

They serve dollar store napkins (upon request of course).

Dosa's came out ICE cold.

Worst of all, at the time of payment, the host took our credit card for payment

Great food over all. We ordered onion rawa masala, butter masala, wadra pongal combo. We liked everything. Sambhar is yumm but given too little. I wish they increased the cup size.

I'll be back for sure.

Worst meal ever. To the people who run this - will you give this food to your own kids ??? We had to throw away everything. stay away from this place

Takeout review -
Food was delivered fairly quickly and was nice and hot. So points for that. The actual quality of the dosas left more to be desired.
1. Onion rava dosa - good bit of onion and black pepper corn, but i was quite bummed that the dosa was not crispy at all. Tasted good, but lacked in texture.
2. Mysore masala dosa - this on the contrary was crispy to a point of being a little too hard. Both the potato masala and the red chutney were meh.
I did quite like the accompaniments - sambar and chutneys were quite good.

Absolutely enjoyed the food! Ordered Paper Roast, Poori Masala & Dahi vada for breakfast. Food was so delicious! Really enjoyed my breakfast. There was only one slight inconvenience. I had to walk to the front to get extra chutney, but the food was so good I'm still rating it 5 stars. Very posh and classy ambience. I really liked it as soon as I entered the restaurant. This place doesn't disappoint.
