I booked a private glass for a bachelorette party and was not disappointed! Yoga on the beach was a unique and relaxing event to our weekend. David was a great teacher and we had so much fun! The class was refreshing, entertaining, and challenging for all levels; plus being by the water with the sea breeze and sounds of the waves heightened the experience. 100% would recommend to anyone. Only wish I lived closer to York become a full time member.

I attended this studio regularly while I was in York over the summer and absolutely loved my experience. It is a very welcoming and community oriented studio. It's also very beginner friendly- my grandmother loves it here as well. Whenever I'm back in York over the holidays I always make sure to swing by for a class!

I've been part of Yoga on York since 2005. I started as a a very busy Mom of 2 kids who could find 2 hours a week for some self-care. In those days, YoY was the only yoga studio in town, but it was all we needed, the quality was there. (I say this as someone who lived and practiced yoga in multiple cities and on 2 continents.) Yoga on York has provided teacher training since 2010 and I am one its graduates and have been an instructor at the studio ever since. The owners of at least two other studios in town are also YoY graduates. Even though the space is humble, the quality and sense

This became my home studio while living in York for the summer. It's quite small and has a regular, dedicated clientele. I liked the instructors and the feel of the place. I liked the people who attended classes there. And it was good yoga--there was attention to breathing and alignment and there were some hard workout classes too.
It feels like the real deal and I am giving belated thanks right now. When I am in York, this is where I'll go. (Have I tried every studio in York, you ask? I have.)

Yoga is still work for me but the staff at Yoga on York are incredible at helping beginners and experienced alike. The "can't do that anymore....." physical symptoms are fading. I can bend over fully, put on a sock without sitting down, carry more than 40 pounds without my legs turning to rubber. Best of all, went from back pain most all of the time including waking me up at night to almost never. If I experience any, repeating poses and stretches I learned from the instructors at Yoga on York makes it fade away. Sessions are effective with an importance on how yoga impacts the entire body and

I recently did a drop in class hoping to improve my flexibility as well as my mindfulness. The studio itself is quite small; which appears to be an inviting space but ends up being quite cramped. After signing the waiver, you can borrow a communal yoga mat free of charge (which I thought was a plus). However, it became quite clear after unrolling the mat that there is no sanitation. It smelled terrible. The class itself was incredibly misguided, as we were expected to start on our backs and move directly into core work. Take this as a warning: though it was advertised as a Vinyasa Flow, there were

I can't say enough good things about Dave and YoY! I used to have an unlimited membership, so I could drop in any time. And recurring payments made it easy. This yoga studio is so welcoming to everyone of all abilities. The teachers are so nice and accommodating. I never felt awkward or judged even as a beginner. In the summer they do hiking yoga to the top of a mountain, and beach yoga on alternate Saturday mornings.

Great little yoga spot with attentive instructors. Cherise and Gretchen both had an excellent ability to observe the class and make corrections that applied to everyone. I felt energized after both classes we took. If you're in the York area and want to attend a yoga class, definitely check these guys out.

I took my first class at Yoga on York and loved it! The studio is warm and welcoming and our teacher, Rae Lynn, made me feel completely at ease. The level 3 class I attended was both athletically challenging and mentally calming. I love that Rae Lynn took the time before class to explain to us what we would be focusing on during the class (shoulders/chest) and how we would benefit from it. I left feeling invigorated, happy and excited to come back for more classes. Great studio!! Thanks!

My favorite yoga spot. All the classes on every level are wonderful and restorative. I started going there for prenatal yoga and 5 years later still try to go at least once a week. What I really appreciate about this studio is that it's very athletic and non-intimidating. All the instructors have a warmth and friendliness that makes you feel challenged, safe, and welcome. No matter what level or style you choose, there is a class for you at Yoga on York. I hope they continue their Beach Yoga this Summer too--Rae, Jeff, Barb, Sage, Amy and all the teachers there are wonderful!
