KULA KULA in Sanskrit means family or community of the heart. At Kula Yoga the hope is that you find a warm welcoming atmosphere. The style of yoga taught is an amalgam of Hatha yoga styles most predominately influenced by Sivananda, Vini, Iyengar and Anusara yoga. Students enjoy a practice with heart-oriented teaching, with postural alignment principles, in a vinyasa or flowing form.

I have been taking weekly yoga classes with Nancy for more than a decade. Nancy is an outstanding teacher and exudes a positive energy which is focused, centered and enthusiastic. She guides us through yoga sequences that gently flow from one pose to another. Her method emphasizes correct alignment while developing flexibility and strength. She carefully observes her students to ensure that poses are done correctly, making adjustments when necessary and encouraging us to listen to our own bodies. I highly recommend Kula Yoga. Nancy's classes help me to stay young!

I have been practicing yoga with Nancy for 13 years. She is an amazing teacher! She teaches alignment based yoga that improves your balance, flexibility and strength. She is sensitive to individual health concerns and leads a challenging, but safe class for all levels offering modifications whenever necessary. Students new to yoga will particularly enjoy her nurturing, supportive nature and demonstration style of instruction. I look forward to every class and always feel better, more peaceful and energized at the same time, when my day starts with one of Nancy’s yoga classes. I encourage anyone

I have been taking yoga with Nancy for almost six years, and without sounding melodramatic, yoga with Nancy has changed my life! I began as a beginner, and with Nancy's guidance, I developed not only strength and better flexibility, but the confidence I needed to then try poses I never in my life thought I would. I love the small classes, and know that if I stray from what I should be doing, Nancy's expert eye helps to bring me back, so that I don't injure myself! The class is a safe, wonderful place, and I am thankful each day for finding myself in this loving, supportive, Kula Yoga Class.

I love Nancy's classes. I can wake up feeling achy, go to her class, and come home feeling fantastic. I highly recommend her class for people of any age and any level. Her instructions include suggestions for different levels encouraging students to work to their ability. I took her classes for years when I was a member at Lifetime Fitness and so glad we reconnected thru a mutual friend at the Women's March in 2017.

This class is great! I have more flexibility, more strength, better posture and a better spirit because of this class! This is only the second session for me. Nancy is encouraging no matter the level of each person. I am new at this and one of the persons in the class has been taking 12 years! Doesn't matter- This is really wonderful - highly recommend it to every age and stage.
