I was looking for something to reduce stress in my life. One class and I was hooked. Well, this was back in 1996 and a whole lot has happened since then.
I continued to practice but just a class wasn't enough. I started taking workshops and I constantly talked about yoga. Finally a good friend said, "Jeez Laur just go get certified so you can stop telling us about it and teach us!" I journeyed into my first Yoga Teacher Training in 1999. Laurie specializes in teaching classes with an Iyengar spin.

Gratitude Yoga & Wellness Center is no longer located in the Lilac City Plaza we were INSIDE the High Kicks Taekwondo space but since they closed we no longer have a space to rent. Please contact us if you are interested in online classes. Laurie has several trainings under her belt with world renowned teachers Judith Hanson Lasater, Gurmukh, Ben Thomas, and Marti Foster.
Kundalini Yoga is not a religion. When we apply the technology of Kundalini Yoga to our bodies and minds, it has the effect of uplifting the spirit. It is for everyone. It is universal and nondenominational. Religions come out of it. Kundalini Yoga is not a fad, and it's not a cult. It's a practice of experience of a person's own excellence, which is dormant and which is awakened.

I love this yoga studio!! Laurie is so friendly and welcoming to all who enter. The vibe of the studio and it's students is relaxed and accepting. I really connect with Laurie's teaching style. Laurie's expertise in ALL areas of yoga is impressive. She teaches in a clear, precise way that is not only fun but professional and easy to understand.
