Pilates Principles offers private Pilates exercise sessions in a private, professional setting. Our bright and spacious studio is fully equipped with Gratz spring-based apparatus to achieve optimum results. Gratz is a leader in Pilates equipment, building equipment based on Joseph Pilates' specifications for over half a century.
My intention for Pilates Principles is to extend the work achieved in the studio into daily life. My wish is to help clients achieve a more vibrant, harmoniously-functioning body. I was certified as a Pilates instructor in 2001. I completed hundreds of hours of apprenticeship in a rigorous program led by Romana Kryzanowska, a master teacher who was personally trained by Joseph Pilates.
The Pilates system, when taught by a properly trained instructor, goes beyond an exercise routine. The system proposes a new way of living in our bodies. By utilizing the mind for control, as opposed to unconscious movements that work only a "pet set" of muscles, Pilates trains the body to shift out of old patterns.
